I inserted a CD with music files and
then scanned for music, but the files
did not appear in the Music Finder.
Files cannot be directly imported from a CD. To import these files:
1.
Play the CD from the CD display screen.
2.
Copy the files to the hard drive and then scan the hard drive for music files.
While playing a music file I try to delete
it but cannot do it.
You cannot delete a file that is currently being played. Click the
Stop
button, or
switch to another file, and then delete the item.

What to do
The installation did not begin after
inserting the Wave/PC
™
software CD.
Go to the
Start
menu and select
Run
. In the Run window, open
d
:\Setup.exe
,
where
d
is the letter of your computer’s CD-ROM drive.
The install program will not proceed
beyond the “End User License Agree-
ment” screen.
Make sure you read the terms of agreement and click on “I Agree” before click-
ing the
Next
button.
The install program stops at the “Con-
nect the Wave/PC unit to your com-
puter” screen.
• Check the interface cable connection between your computer and the
Wave/PC unit.
• Make sure that the serial port is not busy with another application.
• Disconnect/reconnect the power cable to the Wave/PC
™
unit.
No audio heard at the “Connect the
Wave/PC unit to your computer”
screen.
• Make sure that the stereo mini-plug on the Wave/PC system interface cable
is connected to the audio output connector on your computer.
• Move the volume slider control on the screen to the right.
• If your soundcard has a manual volume control, set it to maximum.
A “Registration Error” appears during
installation.
• Make sure you have an Internet connection.
• Try again later, server may be busy.
• If problem still persists, contact Bose
®
Customer Service.
The CD recording test reports that my
CD-ROM drive can record at a much
slower speed than its specified speed.
CD recording speed is a function of many factors in your computer. For exam-
ple, your CD-ROM may be able to read at 32X, but your computer may not be
able to record and encode into MP3 at that speed.
My presets and playlists are gone after
re-installing the Wave/PC software.
To keep all presets and playlists when re-installing the software, select the
“Refresh” option on the installation screen. Selecting the “Re-install” option
automatically erases all user-entered information from the previous software
version.
