9 Set-up, installation and commissioning
9.1 Setting the WS290 training system up
A proper execution of the set-up requires that:

The delivery, the transport and the unpacking according to chapter 8 "Transport
and storage" have been properly completed,

All parts required are within reach and functional,
 Required auxiliary tools, such as lifting tools, ladders and steps, barriers
are available.
Consider the following aspects before the final set-up:

Make sure that the clearance area required for the WS290 training system
and the safety clearances to other fixed installations are available (for
corresponding requirements see fig. 1 "Space required for the WS290 training
system"). In this respect, possible additional attachments, e.g. load simulator
shall be taken into account.

Check the levelness of the contact area, and where required, rework the area
or choose another set-up location.

Make sure that an electrical connection is available.

Make sure that there is sufficient lighting at the set-up location.
Observe the following aspects for the set-up:

Check the alignment of the WS290 training system at the place of installation
(spirit level).

Lock the locking devices of the guide rollers to secure them against
rolling away.
Water protection with hydraulic systems AB-10215:
Regarding the set-up of hydraulic systems, there are different possibilities for
the design of the collecting facility. One possibility is to design the oil pan
according to the Rexroth standard AB 40-40. To the collecting pans, the same
material requirements apply as to the tanks. The collecting volume depends
on the local conditions and the safety equipment.
NOTICE
Danger due to irregularities, variations, faults, defects during the set-up or
the test!
Risk of damage!

Do not put the WS290 training system into operation and/or take it out of
operation without undue delay.

Determine the cause and remedy the defect.

Replace the defective component.
