Indicator and warning lights

Shows red:
Electric steering-wheel lock faulty
The engine can no longer be started. If
applicable, do not switch off the engine.
Contact BMW Service.
Shows yellow:
Electric steering wheel lock jammed
Move the steering wheel before starting
the engine.
Trap protection of window lifts faulty Have the system checked.
Trap protection of electric glass roof
faulty Have the system checked.
Cruise control for 6-cylinder engines
deactivated:
> Driving stability control systems are
active or
> Parking brake is applied or
> You have driven under a speed of
30 km/h (20 mph) or
> Engaged gear is not suitable for the
speed being driven
Cruise control system failed You can continue your journey. Have the
system checked.
Park Distance Control failed Have the system checked.
Bulb of exterior lighting system failed Have the exterior lighting checked as
soon as possible.
Low-beam headlight or fog light failed Have the low-beam headlights checked
as soon as possible.
High-beam headlight failed Have the high-beam headlights
checked.
Rear fog light failed Have the rear fog lights checked.
Headlight beam throw adjustment sys-
tem failed Have the headlight beam throw adjust-
ment system checked.
Bulb of trailer's lighting system failed Have the trailer's lighting system
checked as soon as possible.
Coolant level too low Top up coolant immediately, see
page
102 .
