Do not operate the brakes with
a brake caliper not correctly
secured.
Remove bolts

of the brake

caliper on the left and right.

Force the brake pads

slightly

apart with rotational move-
ments of the brake caliper

against the brake disc

Carefully pull the brake calipers
back and out until clear of the
brake discs.

Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the Scooter
on its centre stand.
Lift the front of the Scooter
until the front wheel is clear of
the ground, preferably using
a BMW Motorrad front-wheel
stand.
