Insert the oil dipstick and
tighten by hand.

Brake system

Operate right brake lever.
The pressure point must be
clearly perceptible.
Operate left brake lever.
The pressure point must be
clearly perceptible.

If pressure points are not clearly
perceptible:

Have the brakes checked by a
specialist workshop, preferably
an authorised BMW Motorrad
Retailer.

Checking front brake pad
thickness

Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the Scooter
on its stand.

Visually inspect the brake pads
to ascertain their thickness.
Turn the handlebars to the
right.

Viewing direction: from the rear
toward brake pads

Turn the handlebars to the left
and check the brake pad thick-
ness on the right-hand side in
the same way.
