You can remove the BlackBerry MDS Integration Service using the option for the appropriate BlackBerry Enterprise
Server version:

You can choose one of the following options to remove the BlackBerry MDS
Integration Service:
•

You can perform the following actions:
a. Remove the BlackBerry Enterprise Server using Add or Remove

Programs

b. Run setup.exe from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 SP7

installation files and clear the check box for the BlackBerry MDS
Integration Service

c.

After you finish, you must remove the BlackBerry MDS Integration
Service component information from the BlackBerry
Configuration Database using the BlackBerry Manager

•

You can run the CreateDB executable that is included with the
BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP3 installation files

For more information about removing the existing installation, see "Add or
remove a BlackBerry Enterprise Server component" in the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server 4.1 SP7 Installation Guide.

You can choose one of the following options to remove the BlackBerry MDS
Integration Service:

You can upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP1 or later. If you
choose this option, you must complete the actions that are required
to remove the BlackBerry MDS Integration Service from the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server version that you plan to upgrade to.

•

You can run the CreateDB executable that is included with the
BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP3 installation files
