Chapter 3: System and Network Setup
After you finish the WEP setting, please click on the “Apply” button (10) and the following message will be displayed:

Click on the “Continue” button to go back to the previous setup menu to continue with other setup procedures. Click on the
“Apply” button to reboot the router so the settings will take effect (please wait for about 30 seconds while the router reboots).
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA)
When you select this mode, the wireless router will use WPA encryption, and the following setup menu will be displayed:

Item Description
WPA Unicast Select a type of WPA cipher suite. Available options are: WPA (TKIP), WPA2 (AES), and WPA2
Cipher Suite (2): Mixed. Select one of them, but make sure your wireless client supports the cipher you selected.
Pre-shared Select the type of pre-shared key format.
Key Format (3): You can select “Passphrase” (8 or more alphanumerical characters, up to 63), or
“Hex” (64 characters of 0–9, and a–f).
Pre-shared Key (4): Input the WPA passphrase here. Do not use a word that’s found in the dictionary; this will
compromise security.
After you finish the WPA Pre-shared key setting, please click on the “Apply” button (5) and the following message will be
displayed:
