Removing the default driver

If you ha ve not in stal led the el meg USB dri ver, the stan dard dri ver for »Com po si te USB de vi ce« will be in stal led by
Wind ows. This is in di ca ted by an en try in the de vi ce ma na ger un der »Uni ver sal se ri al bus con trol ler«. You must first
re mo ve this stan dard dri ver be fo re you in stall the new el meg USB dri ver as explained under »Installation«.

Re mo ving  the  dri ver:

·

Open  the  »De vi ce  ma na ger«

·

Re mo ve  the  en try  »Com po si te  de vi ce«  un der  »Uni ver sal  se ri al  bus  con trol ler«.

·

Re mo ve  the  en try  »el meg«  un der  »Ot her  com po nents«

·

Then un plug the USB con nec tor from the de vi ce and plug it in again. The de vi ce is re cog ni zed anew.

·

In stall the new dri ver

CAPI driver (Common ISDN Application Programming Interface):

In ter fa cing  of  the  pabx  to  pro grams  that  pro vi de  da ta  com mu ni ca ti on  services.

Important for Installation of the CAPI driver

Note
The CAPI dri ver is not re qui red for ac ces sing the In ter net.

Be fo re in stal ling the new dri vers be su re to re mo ve any exi sting CA PI dri vers in your sys tem (such as the dri vers for
an in stal led ISDN card), as Wind ows on ly supp orts one in stal led CA PI. 
Re fer to the ope ra ting in struc tions for the de vi ce con cer ned, or for the ope ra ting sys tem, for details on removing
drivers.

You can al so use ot her pro grams that ac cess the CA PI dri vers for the PABX sys tem. Re fer to the ope ra ting in struc -
tions  for  the  soft wa re  pa cka ges  con cer ned  for  de tai led  information.

Note
In some spe ci al cir cums tan ces it may be ne ces sa ry to also phy si cal ly re mo ve the ISDN card from the PC in ad di ti on
to re mo ving the dri vers.
