Select the [ComPort] . Select the entry starting with BT20….
The raw data are usually displayed as RLU representing the total
amount of counts acquired during the reading time per well.
By checking [Calculate RLU/s] the total amount of counts will be di-
vided by the respective reading time.

Click <Get Configuration>.
The available injectors (with their volume) of the instrument will be
automatically checked.

Click <OK>.

The instrument is now ready to use.
2.2.1 Adjusting the response of both adapters
The properties of both adapters in their efficiency to transmit the light to
the detector are usually very similar. For extremely precise measure-
ments or in case one of the adapters got dirty you can adjust both
responses by determining the RLU correction factor.
Operate as follows:
1.
Select [Instrument] / [Properties] and follow the commands in the
section RLU Correction Factor of the [Configuration dialog box] .
2.
Insert a tube containing a stable sample creating a signal between
100,000 and 1,000,000 counts per second in
chamber #1 and click
<Measure>.
3.
Remove the tube and click <Turn>.
4.
Insert the same tube into chamber #2 and click <Measure>.
5.
Remove the tube.
6.
The values of the readings will be display as well as the RLU correction
factor. This factor will be applied to all consecutive readings

Click <OK>.
