LIFERAFT
The liferaft is located to starboard at the aft of the fl ybridge.
The liferaft should only be used as a last resort.
OBLIGATORY EQUIPMENT
Before every trip, make a list of the obligatory safety equipment,
according to the approval and design category of the boat and the
rules in force in your country.
Visibility
Visibility from the helm position can be reduced or blocked due
to the boat’s trim, or for other reasons caused by one or more of
the following conditions:
- Load and distribution of load.
- Speed.
- Sea state, rain and spray.
- Darkness and fog.
- Light inside the vessel.
- Position of top and side awnings.
- Persons or movable equipment situated in the helmsman’s
fi eld
of vision.
Take all these parameters into account when under way and
always make sure that no other boat is on your course.
The international rules for the prevention
of collision at sea (COLREG) and the rules
of the road require a diligent look-out and
respect for right of way.
