GYRO TILT STAND AND GYRO AIR SOURCE ARE NOT REQUIRED.
3.4
Unpacking and Inspection
Exercise extreme caution when unpacking the equipment. Do a visual inspection of the KA 310 unit for
evidence of damage incurred during shipment. If a damage claim must be filed, save the shipping
container and all packing materials to substantiate your claim. The claim must be filed as soon as
possible. Confirm receipt of all installation components refer to, Table 3-1, Table 3-3, and Table 3-4, for
the appropriate part lists. Inspect all components for any damage, contact BendixKing Customer
Support if any parts are missing or damaged. The shipping container and all packing materials must be
retained if storage or reshipment of the equipment is necessary.
NOTE
THE KA 310 EXTERNAL CONNECTORS SHOULD BE PROTECTED WITH AN ESD COVER WHEN NOT INSTALLED ON THE
AIRCRAFT.
3.5
Installation Considerations
3.5.1
KA 310 Installation Considerations
The KA 310 is not authorized to be installed in flammable fluid zones. There are no clearance
requirements for the KA 310. The KA 310 unit may be mounted in any orientation. The KA 310 may be
installed in pressurized or unpressurized, temperature controlled locations in fixed wing aircraft with
service ceilings not exceeding 35,000 ft. The KA 310 must be installed in a location that is within the
environmental limits provided by the Environmental Qualification Form.
