4 Copy the installer file for Super Doctor onto your Kaleido-IP:
a Run WinSCP.
b Connect to the Kaleido-IP’s Management Network IP address. See Verifying the
Management Port IP Address and Application Version , on page 85. Use the
following credentials to connect to the Kaleido-IP frame.
Username: root
Password: pw1234
c Copy SuperDoctor5Installer_5.4.0_build.703_linux_x64_20160629131648.bin into
any directory on the Kaleido-IP’s hard disk. For example,
/data
.
5 Make the installer file executable.
a From WinSCP, launch PuTTY.
b Make a remote terminal connection to the Kaleido-IP’s console.
Username: root
Password: pw1234
c In the console, execute the following command:
chmod +x SuperDoctor5Installer_5.4.0_build.703_linux_x64_20160629131648.bin
6 In the console, run the installer with the following command:
./SuperDoctor5Installer_5.4.0_build.703_linux_x64_20160629131648.bin -i silent
Now Super Doctor is installed in /opt/Supermicro/SuperDoctor5 .
7 Delete the installer file from the Kaleido-IP:
rm SuperDoctor5Installer_5.4.0_build.703_linux_x64_20160629131648.bin
8 You can now point your browser to http://<KIP IP address>:8181/SuperDoctor5/login and
login with username ADMIN and password ADMIN to view the SNMP web application.
Configuration
Configure the SNMP Service as follows.
1 Using WinSCP’s editor, open the file /etc/snmp/snmp.conf in an editor. Replace the line
" pass .1.3.6.1.4.1.10876 /usr/sbin/sd_extension " with " pass .1.3.6.1.4.1.10876
/opt/Supermicro/SuperDoctor5/libs/native/snmpagent ".
2 Reboot the Kaleido-IP. See Restarting or Shutting Down the Multiviewer , on page 74.
Note:
Running the installer without the silent mode may not always
result in the installation successfully completing.
