To install the EZ CAL option:
NOTE: The EZ CAL option cannot be used on transmitters with
stainless steel housings.

EZ CAL option mounting hole.
2. Position the EZ CAL option on top of the transmitter
(Fig.
).

Piping
Piping should be in accordance with ANSI Code B31.1 for pres-
sure piping.
The nameplate indicates the maximum allowable pressure. Do
not exceed this value when pressurizing the cell.
Refer to Figures
for illustrations of typical
piping arrangements.
The piping arrangements shown in this section are intended as
generalized guides, and may not reflect the exact configuration
required for the particular service. As general rules:
•
Mount the transmitter with the flanges vertical. Mounting
with the flanges other than vertical causes a zero offset due
to the weight of the fill oil in the cell. Refer to
reset the zero if the transmitter must be mounted with the
flanges other than vertical.
•
Keep the tank flange vertical to avoid sediment build-up.
•
Avoid splashes if using in corrosive processes.
•
Prevent obstruction of the pressure connections by solid
matter or products coming from the piping.
WARNING
Consider the corrosive properties of the measured substance
when selecting piping materials. Degradation of the piping can
upset the process. Some process upsets can injure personnel
and damage equipment.
WARNING
When pressurizing, avoid overloading and pressure hammer.
Refer to the introduction section for the pressure limits of the
cell. Exceeding this pressure could result in damage to the cell
and cause serious injury to personnel.
