Coolant flow
Coolant is applied to the blade at the upper blade guide where a valve regulates the amount of
flow to the blade.
To enable or disable the coolant flow, set the coolant switch to "I" (ON) or "O" (OFF).
GuidePost
The guidepost assembly serves two purposes.
•
First, it positions the orange blade guard between
the piece part and the upper pulley housing to
protect the operator from the exposed blade.
•
Second, it positions the upper blade guides close
to the piece part for support of the blade.
To properly position the guidepost:
1. Turn the main disconnect to the OFF position.
2. Hold the guidepost handwheel with one hand and
loosen the guidepost lock knob.
3. Use the handwheel to raise or lower the guidepost
so that the bottom of the blade guide is
.25” - .5”
(6.35
– 12.7mm) above the piece part and tighten
the guidepost knob to hold it securely.
