"USB" PORT
This port can be used to inspect and control the Genius D device
remotely via a normal PC. Before connecting this port you will need to
install the device control software inside the packaging.

-1 RS232 SERIAL
SERIAL PORT 1
Genius D provides guidelines for controlling the device via remote
control software. The operating parameters can be changed through
the
Axel Audio Changeover Remoter software, while Axel Audio
Changeover Address Manager allows the Target Name (or device
name) to be set. The Front Panel can also be locked.
Serial Port 1 is also used to
reprogram the firmware and to connect
to a 56K external analog modem (for remote control via telephone
line). By default the port speed is set at 38,400 bps .
To reprogram the Firmware see the relevant chapter in the appendix.

"GPIO" PORT
15 poly high density female poly interface, on SubD connector. It
represents the logic status of Genius D via the GPOut open collector,
while it provides the Genius D command via GPIn, thanks to the
photocouplers (optocouplers) installed on board.
The Genius D status is also visible from the software panel in the
right hand section of the software thanks to the part:
- GPInput
- GP Output
With regard to the pinout of the Opto Interface port refer to the
Appendix at the back of this manual. See the specific section for the
operation of each GPI and GPO in the next few pages of this manual.

(ANALOG OUTPUT)
Genius D
ANALOG audio output, electronically balanced, on XLR
balanced stereo connector.

ANALOG INPUT "A"
(ANALOG INPUT -A)
Genius D ANALOG audio input -A with electronically balanced XLR
connection. This is the main input (A) of the analog changeover.
