Creating Custom Templates
You can create custom session templates that
are pre-configured to the track setups, mixer
configurations and window arrangements that
you use most frequently. Doing this will save
you the trouble of having to create your setup
from scratch every time you start a new session.
The process for creating and saving custom tem-
plates depends on the version of Pro Tools you
are using.
Creating Templates with Pro Tools
8.0 and Higher
(Mac and Windows)
With Pro Tools 8.0 and higher, you can create
and share your own custom session templates.
Pro Tools Session Template files use the suffix
“.ptt” to differentiate them from regular
Pro Tools session files (“.ptf”).
