7.8 Input Termination
The QM4 and QM8 gives you the option to terminate the input of the VCR or Cam-
eras either with 75 ohms or with high impedance. The cameras termination is a global
one which means all must be terminated or all unterminated. If you are mixing looping
with terminating you must supply an external terminator on cameras not looping. To set
the termination follow the following steps.
Note: All outputs of the QM (except camera looping output) have the ability to drive an
unterminated or 75 ohm terminated loads at 1 V P-P. You may “T” these outputs to two
75 ohm terminated devices like VCRs or monitors and still maintain 1V P-P output from
the QM series.

Press and Release the menu button to access the main menu.

Place your cursor in front of Input termination and press and release the
“SET”.

Input termination menu will pop up on the screen as shown in the figure
below.

Place cursor in front of Camera input and press and release the “SET”
button.

Select either “75 OHM” or “ HI -Z” by pressing “UP” or “Down” buttons.

Now place the cursor in front of “VCR input” and press and release the
“SET” button.

Select either “75 OHM” or “ HI -Z” and press and release the “SET” button.
