The following figure shows the connections that need to be made between the QM
remote control connector and the VCR CS output so that QM can receive the trigger
output from the VCR.
After making that connection turn ON the external trigger of QM by using the following
programming steps.

In the Normal Record Mode sub-menu move the cursor in front of EXT
TRIGGER and press and release the “SET” button.

Cursor will start blinking.

Now Press either “UP” or “DOWN” button to select EXT Trigger “ON”.

Press and release “SET” button again.

Exit out from all the menus to activate your selection.

The QM trigger output gives a signal to the VCR to record the current image
immediately because the multiplexer is switching to the next camera in the sequence.
The following figure showed the relation between the output pulse and the input camera.
To activate that option you need to make sure that “EXT Trigger” is on OFF posi-
tion. For turning that OFF repeat step 1 through 5 again and make sure to select “OFF”
in step number 3 instead of “ON”.
After making the connection shown in Figure 12 and turning “ OFF” the EXT Trigger
you can now control the VCR recording speed via QM.
