To enable or disable password protection

When you disable password protection for accessing user options, the Voicemail
password is not disabled.
1. Access the
User Options
menu as described in
Displaying the User Options Menu on
page 69
.
2. Select
Password
on the
User Options
menu, or press
1
on the dialpad.
3. Perform one of the following actions:

To disable password protection, select
Turn Pswd OFF
or press

on the dialpad.

To enable password protection, select
Turn Pswd ON
or press

on the dialpad.
4. When you are prompted to deactivate or activate password protection, select the
Yes
softkey.
5. Select the
Exit
softkey to display the previous menu, or press the Phone/Exit (
) button
to clear the display area.
Setting up Call Forwarding
You can select the
CFwd
softkey directly from the display area instead of setting up call
forwarding through user options. For instructions, see
Chapter 5: Redirecting Calls through Call
Forwarding
.
Recording and Managing Personalized Voicemail Greetings
You can record your name and/or a personalized greeting that may be played to callers when
you are unable to answer the Telephone. In addition, button-based Voicemail options let you
specify a number that the Voicemail Application dials automatically if a caller dials 0 during your
personalized greeting (for example, you can redirect the call to another extension or your
mobile telephone).

As an alternative to pressing telephone buttons, you may choose to access and
set Voicemail options through Voicemail prompts (see
Accessing Voicemail
Options and Messages from any Telephone
on page 60). Additional options (such
as the ability to enable or disable the email-notification-of-voicemail feature) are
available through Voicemail prompts.
