Set Time
The time setting is defined for the IntelliSight Processor. The setting specifies
the source used for clock synchronization and in which time zone the device is
installed. IntelliSight Cameras obtain their time setting from the IntelliSight
Processor to which they are connected. In essence, the IntelliSight Processor
acts as an NTP server and the IntelliSight Cameras as NTP clients. This
relationship exists between the two no matter what Time Source is specified for
the IntelliSight Processor.
The method for setting the time on the is determined by the selection for Time
Source on the Device Settings screen (see
“IntelliSight Processor Setup” on
).
•
Manual
– This selection synchronizes the clock in the IntelliSight
Processor to the connected computer. After the selection is applied, the
S
ET
T
IME
command must be initiated in the Commands section of the
Device or Home screen.
•
TS2
– This selection is used if the IntelliSight Processor’s clock is set by
TS2 time set commands. The IntelliSight Processor monitors the TS2
time every minute and if the difference between the two is greater than
two seconds, the TS2 time is applied to the IntelliSight Processor.
•
NTP
– This selection synchronizes the clock to an NTP server. At least
one (and up to five) NTP servers must be added. If more than one is
entered, the first is used as the primary.
