Setting the Device Role and Resetting the Device (only COMfortel WS-
500M)
On delivery, all COMfortel WS-500M devices are
configured as "Only base station". To set up the multi-cell
system, one device must be configured as a DECT
Manager and Integrator.
Press the Device key
E
on the front face to change the
device's role. In programming mode, the two LEDs on the
front face
F
show he currently selected role.
Important:
Note that, when the device role is
changed, the device is reset to its state when delivered. All settings are
deleted. If a base station is already in use, ensure it is no longer connected
to another system.

Do this to set the device's role:
Requirement:

Booting has ended and the device is ready.
1. Press and hold the Device key for at least 10 seconds, until all LEDs go out.
The device is now in programming mode.
2. Press the Device key briefly, once or several times, until the necessary role
is selected.
The LEDs shine in accordance with the selected role (see table above).
3. Press and hold the Device key until the LEDs go out again.
