4. Select the

of the next search criteria, Figure 3-3. Choices are always only

to include &
Does
Not Contain
to
exclude the next search criteria.
5. We select
Contains
for this demo to search for and obtain a list of servers
with
the specifi ed fi rmware version.
Selecting
Does Not Contain
would produce a list of Devices that
do not
have the fi rmware.
6. Click
inside
the third search box and make a selection, Figure 3-4 . Regardless of the fi rst search criteria selected,
the dropdown list of choices will be just entries that exist in the monitored Devices, therefore only valid searches will
result. If there are no items in the third dropdown list then there are no servers that match this particular search
criteria.
7. With all three criteria selected, click the
Search
Icon.
8. An
Active Filter
is created, Figure 3-5, and multiple fi lters may be created in the same way to further refi ne the
selection. Filters may be deleted by clicking anywhere on the fi lter. A
Trash Can
icon is on the fi lter to remind
you of this.
9. The list of Devices with the specifi ed criteria is presented. In this demo case only one Device exists with this specifi ed
fi rmware but this could also be a long list. Refi ne the list further with more fi lters.
10. Sort the resulting list fi elds with
Ascending/Descending
controls on each fi eld heading.
11. Mouse over the Server list and further refi ne the list by creating more fi lters. Mouse over the icons for tool tips or click
the
Include/Exclude
Icons &
Greater-Than/Less-Than
Icons.
