5 .2 .8  Create or Edit VLAN

Your application may require a management VLAN to allow remote Monitoring Server management. We will show here how 

to create a management VLAN on the interface eth0 on the Server. We do not explain all the steps required to set up a VLAN 

system on your equipment.

Procedure

This procedure explains how to confi gure a VLAN on the Monitoring Server. We do not include confi guration of the far end 

switches or your equipment.

1.  Click the 

System

 Tab if it is not already selected, Figure 5-25.

2.  Click 

Confi gure Network

 under Network Confi guration section.

3.  Click 

+VLAN

 on the eth0 interface to add a VLAN for remote Server management, Figure 5-26.

4.  Edit or fi ll in the VLAN settings form, Figure 5-27, according to Table 5.2a and your system requirements.
5.  Click 

Save

 when fi nished.
