Cleaning frequency table
Daily

Body and Grilles:
Clean the panels of the body with a cloth dampened in
lukewarm water.
Remove the drip collection tray and cup holder grille and
wash with hot water.

Filters and Filter Holders:
Wash the filters and filter holders on a daily and weekly
basis, as indicated in para. 5.2.2 on page 27.

Steam nozzle:
Keep the nozzle clean at all times using a cloth damp-
ened in lukewarm water.
Check and clean the nozzle tips, by clearing the steam
outlet holes with a small needle.
Perform the wash on a weekly basis
, as indicated in
para. 5.2.5 on page 28.

Dispensing unit:
Wash the dispensing unit as described in para. 5.2.3.
Perform the cleaning operations on a daily basis
as
indicated in para. 5.2.4.

Grinder-dispenser and Hopper:
Clean the hopper and the dispenser inside and out with a
cloth dampened with warm water. When finished, dry all
parts thoroughly.

5.2.2 Cleaning the filters and filter
holders
Caution: only immerse the filter holder cup in wa -
ter and try not to get the handle wet.
The detergent must be diluted in cold water in the
doses indicated on the package (see the manufacturer).
Daily:
• Soak the filter and filter
holder in hot water over-
night so that the fatty cof-
fee deposits can dissolve.
• Rinse everything in cold wa-
ter.
Daily
Clean the filter holders with the special brush supplied.
Weekly:
• Using a coffee spoon detached the filter from the filter
holder.
• Soak the filter and filter
holder in warm water with
a suitable detergent for 10
minutes.
• Rinse the whole unit with
cold water.
• Replace the filter in the fil -
ter holder.
5.2.3 Washing the dispensing unit
Wash the dispensing unit on a daily basis.
Before starting the washing operation, the filter holder must
be prepared.
• Remove the filter from the filter holder and insert the blind
filter (see the standard supplied parts).
• Add a descaling pad (see standard equipment) in the filter
holder with the blind filter and hook to the dispensing unit.
• Run the dispenser for 10 seconds ; at the conclusion stop
the d elivery by returning the lever to the stand-by position.
Repeat 4 times alternating the delivery with 10 second
pauses.
• Once the 5 deliveries are completed remove the filter
holder from the dispensing unit.
• Clean the dispensing unit as described in paragraph "5.2.4
Cleaning spray heads filter holder unit" on page 28.
• Perform at least one dispensing action with the filter hold -
er in order to eliminate the detergent residues.
• Wash the filter holder with the blind filter with water to
eliminate all traces of the pad.
• Insert the filter holder into the dispensing unit again.
• Run the dispenser for 5 seconds ; at the conclusion stop
the delivery by returning the lever to the stand-by position.
Repeat 9 times alternating the delivery with 10 second
pauses.
• Once the 10 deliveries are completed remove the filter
holder from the dispensing unit.
• Remove the blind filter from the filter holder and insert the
filter removed previously.
• Insert the coffee into the filter holder and dispense; when
finished throw away the freshly dispensed coffee.
• Remove the filter holder from the dispensing unit.
• The machine is ready to use.
