Health risks due to the handling of
disinfectants
• The use of appropriate protective
clothing during disinfection is re-
commended.
• Follow the manufacturer‘s disinfec-
tant instructions.
Risk of damage to the device due to
improper cleaning agents
• Do not use disinfectants that contain
acetone. These may damage or dis-
figure the housing components as
well as the secretion canister lids.
• Follow the instruction for use pro-
vided by the manufacturers of the
utilized disinfectants particularly
with respect to material and surface
compatibility as well as the concent-
ration information.
• ASSKEA GmbH recommends Seku-
sept ® aktiv for immersion disinfec-
tion of the accessories and Incidin
®
Plus resp. Incidin ® Liquid for wipe
disinfection of the device.
Disinfection is not mandatory, if the
device is used for one patient only
(especially in in-home care).
Disinfection is mandatory, if used in
an inpatient setting!
4.1.2 Cleaning and disinfection of
the surface of the device
Clean on a regular basis and disinfect
at least once a week the surfaces of
the device.
• The device can be wiped with a damp, lint-
free cloth.
• Follow the previous chapter 4.1.1. for wipe
disinfection.
After prolonged use, minor discolorations
may occur on the plastic housing compo-
nents. These do not affect the function of the
device, however.
If liquids come into direct contact with
the interior of the device, the device
must be inspected by ASSKEA GmbH
or an authorized service partner of
ASSKEA GmbH.
