Automatic Measuring of Line Length
If all of a terminal’s LEDs are lit (e.g. team keys) and at the same time the terminal
rings with maximum volume, the power input is maximum. The power supply can
become critical depending on the line length:
• When connecting an Office terminal to the AD2 bus, the power input is auto-
matically determined, whereby all devices (Office XX, EKP, AKB) connected to
the bus are taken into account.
• The terminal displays the message "Power critical" if the power input is not
enough. The line length is precisely calculated at about 150 m and based on a
wire diameter of 0.5 mm.
• The text message can be deleted and the terminal can be operated nevertheless
under normal conditions.
