To avoid the patient from falling, make sure
that the sling attachments are attached

process.
Make sure that all clips are attached securely and

adjustment is needed, lower the patient and make
sure that the weight of the patient is taken up by the

Make sure that:
• the spreader bar is in a reclined position,
• one caregiver pays attention to the patient’s

• that the other caregiver holds up the patient’s
