7. Simulation of an
insufficient amount of
drops (only when Easy
Clip is activated) Insert filled set into the pump and start it with a rate
of 100 ml/h. Remove the drip chamber from the
Easy Clip or the internal drop detector. After a
while the pump must show an “empty bag” alarm.


Insert filled set into the pump and start it with a rate
of 100 ml/h. By using a syringe or similar, insert a
few ml of air into the tubing on the upstream side.
The air must not pass by the air-in-line detector.
The pump has to stop, displaying an air in line
alarm.


9. Nurse Call Check the connection for the nurse call plug.


10. Battery test
Charge the internal Accumulator completely. Run
the pump on battery. The battery empty alarm must
not come on within the first 3 hours.


11. Electrical Safety
Perform Electrical safety test according to EN
62353


Fuse ratings must correspond to the manufacturer’s specification. (T500 mA/250V IEC127/III/SEV
1064).
Test results must be recorded in the Equipment Log.
Warning: After repairs, software updates and any replacement of parts, test runs must be
carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s protocols and documented with the
corresponding serial number of the devices.
During security check the battery must be checked. If any other than arcomed ag recommended
batteries are used, the correct function of the pump cannot be guaranteed. Old batteries must be
disposed according to national guidelines.
