• Insert the new brake linings, insert pin, and mount cotter

pins.

• Operate the hand brake lever repeatedly until the brake li-

nings are in contact with the brake disc and there is a pres-

sure point.

• Add brake fluid up to the level. ( .50)

If there is no free travel on the foot brake lever, pressure

builds up in the brake system on the rear brake.

• Set the free travel on the foot brake lever in accordance

with the specification.

• Detach spring 1.

• Loosen nut 2 and, with push rod 3, turn it back until you

have maximum free travel.

• To adjust the basic position of the foot brake lever to indivi-

dual requirements.

• Turn push rod 3 accordingly until you have free travel. If ne-

cessary, adjust the basic position of the foot brake lever.

Guideline

Free travel at foot brake lever 3… 5 mm (0.12… 0.2 in)

• Hold push rod 3 and tighten nut 2.

Always change the brake linings in pairs.

The range of adjustment is limited.
