3-6 Harmonics and Spurious Signals Test
The following tests can be used to verify that the signal generator meets its spurious emissions specifications
for RF output signals from 9 kHz to 43.5 GHz.
The MG362x1A CW RF output signal is fed directly into a spectrum analyzer. The CW frequency and power
level is referenced and + peak search function on the spectrum analyzer is utilized to find any spurious signals
above the specified limit.
Equipment Required
Enter the required test equipment asset number as described in Section 3-4 “Station Asset Utility”
on page 3-7 . The equipment required to perform Harmonics and Spurious signal testing is shown in
Table 3-11 .
Test Setup
1. Connect the equipment as shown in Figure 3-6 .

Power line and fan rotation spurious emissions are tested as part of the single sideband phase noise
test in
