Designing Panel Pages

TPDesign3 Touch Panel Program
5.
Once the font appears in the Fonts In Panel field, it is now possible to Copy, Paste, Cut, and
Delete the font from the library.
Creating a New Page
When TPDesign3 opens, the program constructs the first page (Main Page). Pages can be designed
as a control panel in itself. You can add buttons, bargraphs, sliders, and drawings to a touch panel
page, and then designate the control functions for each object. This Main page should also contain
a SETUP button to give you access to the panel setup pages.
By placing the mouse pointer over a page area and clicking the right mouse button, a drop-down
menu appears. This menu combines many of the options found within the Edit and Page menus.
Refer to the
Quick Start Page Design
section on page 13 for more information.
However, you create a project page by performing the steps below:
1.
Click the Add Page icon
from either the Standard toolbar or the Page drop-down menu.
2.
Enter a name for the new page into the Add Page dialog box.
3.
Click OK. The newly created page appears on the Workspace (actively selected). Enter the new
Page Name and click OK. The new page is created and displayed within the Workspace.
Now there are two pages in the project: Main page and the new page. You can set the page
properties and create functional buttons. These buttons allow page flips from one page to another.
Setting Page Properties
Color characteristics only apply to the individual page of a particular project.
1.
Select Page > Properties from the Main menu or right-click on the page and select properties.
The Page Properties dialog box (FIG. 7) appears on-screen.
2.
Type the name for the page under construction and select a page color.
3.

The Graphic page feature is only supported within a CG (Color Graphic) panel type.
4.
