Function: 03 Scan
• Starts or stops scanning.
• Clears the data buffer when started.
• Sets the number of scans.
Unless the scan interval is large or dwell times long, the scan data buffer can easily fill up. We
recommend setting this to 1. Then start another scan after the data is retrieved.
Parameters
scans Zero stops scanning. A -1 scans continuously. Range is -1,
or 0 to 32767.
Returns If no parameter supplied, returns the number of scans remaining.
Function: 04 Filament
• Turns the filament on or off.
If scanning, does not take effect until the next scan.

• Turns the multiplier on or off.
If scanning, does not take effect until the next scan.

supply option isn’t present, or connected to a Faraday head, then
