MAIN LEVEL LOCAL OPERATION
There a re three levels of opera tions: MAIN leve l, TRANSIENT level a nd TRIGGERED level. The M AIN level opera tion
a nd its a ssocia ted set of va lues a re for sta tic opera tion. TRANSIENT a nd TRIGGERED opera tions a re for va rious types
of dyna mic a pplica tions.
The ma in level pro gra mming va lues for the four different opera ting modes a re entered in the sa me ma nner; the difference
is the unit of mea surement for ea ch operating mode. For exa mple, CV mode is in V (Volta ge) unit, CC mode is in A
(Amps) unit, CR mode is in

(Ohm) unit a nd CP mode is in W (Wa tts) unit.
The CV, CC, C P a nd CR modes have more tha n one opera ting ra nge. The low ra nges provide better resolution for low
settings. Each mode’s range is selected by pressing the “RANGE” key. See example below.
Exa mple 1.
1. Press the “CC” Hot Key. Select the programming range by pressing “Range,” and turn the encoder to the desired
range (set to lo w range). Let’s assume main level pro gramming value indicates 10 amps, in the lo w range. Try to set
the progra mming va lue to 15.0 Amps.
2. Press a nd hold the encoder a nd wa it for a numerica l key entry for a new va lue. On the second line of the LCD module
the following forma t will be displa yed: CURR = 10.000A
3. Enter the following numerical key sequence “1”, “5”, “.” and “0” or another current value below the max rated current.
4. If the number tha t wa s entered is not correct, then press the “CLEAR” key to era se the wrong entry a nd repea t step 3.
5. Press the “ENTER” key to complete the entry opera tion.
6. If the entered va lue is over the ma ximum ra ting of the current ra nge, then the eLOAD LC D will d ispla y “Overflow”,
a nd a llow the use r to enter a nother va lue. Either cha nge the entered va lue to a number tha t is within the current ra nge
or select the correct ra nge by pressing the RANGE key a s indica ted in step 1.
Exa mple 2.
1. Assume tha t the eLOAD is in the CP mode and ma in level progra mming va lue indica tes 40 Watts. Try to set the
progra mming va lue up to 50.0 Wa tts.
2. Press the “CP” Hot Key. Select the programming range by pressing “Range,” and turn the encoder to the desired
ra nge (set to lo w ra nge). Pre ss a nd hold the encoder a nd wa it for a numerica l key entry for a new va lue. On the
second line of the LCD module the following forma t will be displa yed: POWER = 40 W
3. Enter the following numerical key sequence “5”, “0”, “.” and “0”.
4. If the number tha t wa s entered is not correct, then press the “CLEAR” key to era se the wrong entry a nd repea t step 3.
5. Press the “ENTER” key to complete the entry operation.
6. If the entered va lue is over the ma ximum ra ting of the power ra nge, then the eLOAD LCD will d ispla y “Overflow”,
a nd a llow the use r to enter a nother va lue. Either cha nge the entered va lue to a number tha t is within the current ra nge
or select the correct ra nge by pressing the RANGE key a s indica ted in step 1.
After the entry steps ha ve been completed, the new ma in level pro gra mming va lues will immediately be in effect a nd the
eLoa d will return to the metering mode.
