PERATION
3.1 Quick Start
Check for leaks, then perform appropriate safety procedures before applying power to the system.
A Valve Control Switch on the front door indicates whether automatic valve control is enabled or valves are
forced closed. If you do not want the valves to open when power is restored, turn the Valve Switch to the
CLOSE position. Turning the Valve Switch to the AUTO position does not mean the valves will open when
power is restored, but rather that the automatic valve control may open the valves if they were open when
power was turned off. For more details on the Valve Control, please refer to Section
6.1 Valve Setup
.
A Local/Remote Control Switch on the front door indicates whether control is possible from a remote location
or from the Touch Panel. When the Local/Remote Control Switch is in the LOCAL position, any signals from a
remote location to run, stop, and change calibrations are ignored. When the Local/Remote Control Switch is in
the REMOTE position, the Touch Panel RUN and STOP buttons are ignored.
Apply power to the entire unit by turning the switch on the door in the direction indicated.
It is recommended that the unit be left on whenever possible as it promotes stability of the XRT/XRA Head.
The Touch Panel Display will load the Main Screen after about 50 seconds.
The 682T-HP is shipped from the factory with an example calibration installed in CalSet0 so you can test
analyzer operations immediately. There is no guarantee that this calibration will provide the best results for
your application. Use the example calibration to try out the various features of your analyzer. Calibration will
have to be performed before results may be obtained in any of the other three Cal Sets. Please refer to section
3.5.2 Calibration Selection
for directions to change to another Cal Set.
