6.13 User Corrections
User Corrections may be applied after the result calculated by the calibration. The
correction is applied as follows:
User Corrected Result = Calibrated Result * User Mult User Offset.
User Corrections are calculated from the results of the analyzer compared to lab results
on the same samples over a period of time. When enough data is collected to be
significant, the slope and offset between the analyzer results and the lab results is
calculated and applied as a User Multiplier and User Offset to the analyzer results.

You may enter User Corrections for any CalSet by selecting the Utility Screen and
pressing the Corrections button.
Access is allowed for Operator6 (Level 6) or
higher password.
If you are making a correction to the currently selected CalSet, you
must first touch the ENABLED field for the appropriate CalSet on the User Corrections
Screen until it displays “YES”, then press the APPLY button to make the User
Correction active. When you change CalSets, a warning will appear if a User Correction
is active. This is to remind you that the result will be modified from the calibrated result.
User Corrections are not applied to the calibration results. The User Correction will only
modify the result on the Main Screen and the analog and serial outputs during normal
analysis.
