Wide
The
WIDE
switch changes the way the
Mix (LCR)
pan functions [Fig 4.1].
When panned Left, only Left is present, when panned Centre only Centre is present (L and R
completely attenuated) and when panned Right only Right is present.
1:1
The
1:1
switch in the
Channel
section bypasses the channel level and pan pots and causes the
Solo signal to become PFL (as opposed to AFL) [Fig 4.1].
This switch also routes the channel signal to busses 7-12, over-riding the
MIX TO TRACKS
and
AUX 3&4 TO TRACKS
switches.
The channel signal is also routed to busses 1-6 unless
LCRS
(busses 1-4) and
SS
(busses 5-6) are
selected. All signals are still post-mute.
Pan Pots
The
FRONT/REAR
pot, pans between
LCR
and
Surround
busses.
When panned to the front, the
LCR
outputs are unity with no
LS
and
RS
outputs.
When panned to the centre, the
LCR
outputs are reduced by -3dBu, with the
LS
and
RS
signals
also reduced to -3dBu less than their unity gain, which is achieved with the
FRONT/REAR
pan
pot fully rear.
The
MIX PAN
is used to pan all
L
,
R
,
C
,
LS
and
RS
signals with the
L
and
R
signals attenuating by
-5dBu when panned centre, the centre signal being unity. When panned fully left or right, the
centre signal disappears.
When the
FRONT/REAR
pan pot is fully rear,
LS
and
LR
signals are unity when the
MIX
pan is
fully panned left or right.
When the
MIX
pan is panned to the centre, the
LS
and
RS
signals attenuate by -4dBu.
