Mix Path Output

Mix Fader

The

Mix Path

output level is controlled by a 100mm travel fader, fitted to a separate panel

below the module. The

Mix Fader

controls a

VCA

(voltage controlled amplifier)

via the mix

computer under control of the

Supertrue

automation system.

Computer Fail System

In the unlikely event of a computer failure, the fader system is designed so that faders can be
switched to direct control of the

VCA

element via the

Faders Isolate

switch on the

M3 Monitor

Module

Fader Flip

Pressing

Fader Flip

swaps the

Mix Path VCA Fader

and the

Channel Path

level control.

Mute

The

Mix Mute

switch cuts off all output from the

Mix Path

and utilises a soft

mute circuit for click-free switching with an associated warning LED.
This switch can also be automated from the

Supertrue

mixing system software.

AFL

The

AFL

switch normally provides a stereo post-fade, post pan signal to the monitor speakers,

replacing the currently selected monitor source.

Mix Panning

The

Mix Pan

controls are quite complex and change their operation depending

upon the current mixing mode, traditional stereo or multi-format surround.

Stereo Mode

In traditional stereo work, the

Mix Pan

control feeds the signal to the stereo mix

and multitrack busses via the

Mix to ST

and

Mix to Tks

switches at the top of

the module with a -5dB centre attenuation.

Note:

For stereo work the

Front/Rear

pan control

MUST

be fully panned to

Front

Note: Mix To Tks

is over-ridden by both

Aux 3&4 to Tks

and

1:1

switches.
