LCRS Mode
In
LCRS
mode, the
Mix Pan
becomes a multi-format pan control and feeds
Multitrack Busses
1-4
as follows:
•
Left
= Buss 1
•
Right
= Buss 2
•
Centre
= Buss 3
•
Surround
= Buss 4
Stereo Surround
In
Stereo Surround
work (with the
SS
switch operated) the
LS
and
RS
signals are derived
directly from the
Surround
signal and fed to multitrack busses
5
and
6
via the routing switches.
•
LS
= Buss 5
•
RS
= Buss 6
•
Sub (LFE)
= Buss 4
Note:
The
Sub (LFE)
signal is derived from the post fade signal.
Front & Rear Pan
When the
Front/Rear
pan control is panned towards the
Front
, full signal is fed
to the
Mix Pan (LCR)
pot which performs the main pan operations.
When panned towards the
Rear
full signal is fed to the
Surround
busses.
The
Front/ Rear
pan has a centre attenuation of -3dB.
LCR Pan Responses
In normal stereo work, the
LCR Pan
control has a front
Left/Right
centre attenuation of -5dB.
Wide
When
Wide
is selected, the pan laws are modified so that no signals are present
on the
L
and
R
busses when the pan is in the centre.
The overall effect is to provide a more discrete image as the pan moves from
Left
to
Right
through
Centre
.
