19.0 Noise
Turfmech Machinery Limited has no control over site conditions, duration of use,
state of maintenance or adjustment of the ELMOW mower. All of these factors will
affect the operator’s daily personal noise exposure level (L
EP,d
).
The guaranteed sound power level is
76 dB(A)
measured in accordance with EC
Directive 2000/14/EC and BS EN 836:1997.
Setting the cylinder and bottom blade to be non-contacting will reduce noise
emission. A well maintained, sharp and accurately ground cylinder and bottom blade
are recommended to minimise noise emission.
20.0 Vibration
Turfmech Machinery Limited has no control over site conditions, duration of use,
state of maintenance or adjustment of the ELMOW mower. All of these factors will
affect the operator’s daily personal vibration exposure level.
In normal field working conditions, the vector sum is
2.23m/s
2
.
These tests where conducted on a bowling green cutting grass in accordance with
BS EN 5349-1:2001 and BS EN 5349-2:2002. Several operators were used to obtain
this average.
A well maintained mower with an accurately ground and balanced cylinder are
recommended to limit vibration emission. Forcing the mower to cut longer grass than
intended or setting the groomer to be soil engaging will result in higher levels of
vibration and wear.
