The bottom blade adjusters can sometimes become very tight and may be hard to
turn. If this is the case:
•
Slacken off the grub screw on the collar
behind the adjuster as shown.
•
Rotate the adjuster anti-clockwise 1/8
th
of
a turn.
•
Tighten the grub screw.
•
Check the adjuster – it should now turn
freely.
•
Carry out blade adjustment as described
previously.

10.2 Adjusting the height of cut and groomer height
•
Always set the mower on cut before attempting to set the height of cut.
•
Use the height setting bar provided to set the height of cut and groomer
position. The bolts on this should be adjusted until they reach the desired
height of cut (X) and the desired groomer height (Y) as shown in Figure 4
below.
Figure 4: Height of cut and groomer depth
•
Once adjusted, position the setting bar so that the underside of the bolt head
(X) rests on top of the leading edge of the bottom blade. The rearward end of
the bar must make contact with the rear roller as shown by Figure 4 above.
•
Adjust the height of the front roller until the setting bar just touches it.
•
To alter the position of the front roller, rotate the quick height adjuster
clockwise to reduce the height of cut and anti-clockwise to increase the height
of cut. One click moves the front roller by an increment of 0.3mm (1/80 of an
inch), this alters the height of the blade by 0.175mm (7 thousandths of an
inch). 1 click = 0.175mm, 3 clicks = 0.525mm (1/50”), 6 clicks = 1.05mm
(1/25”) etc.
