15.0 Batteries
WARNING – Battery acid is highly corrosive, wear
protective clothing and avoid contact. In case of accidental
contact wash immediately with soap and water.
Batteries emit EXPLOSIVE gases – Prevent flame or sparks
near batteries
•
The recommended battery for the battery pack is Numax SLG42-12. Two
42Ah, 12V batteries are used in series. WARNING - Do not use batteries that
are not suitable for recharging.

Batteries must be charged using the correct charger. If an incorrect charger is
used this may result in electric shock, overheating or leakage of corrosive
liquid from the batteries.

The below decal shows the battery pack circuitry. Polarity of the circuit is
important.
•
To replace the batteries:

Turn the battery isolation key to the OFF (0) position

Unplug the battery lead from the mower power socket
−
Remove the battery pack from the mower and position on a non
conducting surface.

Wearing suitable safety clothing (eye and face protection, gloves and
long sleeved clothing). Remove the battery pack cover.

Disconnect the wiring to the terminals, taking care not to cause any
short circuits. Check the battery wiring for damage and replace any
defective cables. Visually inspect the battery and battery pack housing
for signs of corrosion. Remove corrosion and treat with paint or
grease.

Replace the batteries, observing the correct polarity.

The batteries should be a snug fit into the battery pack housing. Any
distortion may damage the battery casing.

To safely dispose of used batteries take them to your local authorised
recycling depot. Please dispose of batteries sensibly.
