10.6 Handle bar height
The handle bar height can be adjusted by rotating the top handle bar assembly. First
slacken the fasteners on the tube clamps, pivot the top handle bar to the desire
position and retighten the fasteners. The tiller assembly can also slide along the
handle bar tube. Slacken the fasteners underneath the central section, move the tiller
to the desired position and tighten the fasteners.
11.0 Safe operating practices
Carefully read the instructions for the safe operation of the machine and all other
associated publications e.g. battery charger manual.
Do not touch the blades before the disabling device has been removed and the
blades have come to a complete stop.
Remove the disabling device:
•
Whenever leaving the machine unattended
•
Before clearing a blockage
•
Before checking, cleaning or working on the machine, this includes removing
the grass box and making height adjustments to the machine.
•
After striking a foreign object
•
Whenever the machine starts vibrating abnormally (check immediately)
12.0 Training
•
Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar with the controls and the proper
use of the equipment.
•
Never allow children or people unfamiliar with these operating instructions to
use the mower or its attachments. Local regulations may restrict the age of
the operator.
•
Be alert while people, especially children, or animals are nearby.
•
Bear in mind that the operator is responsible for accidents or hazards
occurring to other people or their property.
•
Do not attempt to ride on the mower or carry passengers.
13.0 Preparation
•
While operating the mower always wear substantial footwear and long
trousers. Do not operate the mower when barefoot or wearing open sandals.
•
Thoroughly inspect the area where the mower is to be used and remove all
objects which can be thrown by the mower.
•
Before using, always visually inspect the cutting cylinder, bottom blade
assembly and fasteners for signs of wear or damage.
•
When charging the batteries ensure adequate ventilation is provided.
•
Battery acid is highly corrosive – For more information please refer to the
battery charger instruction leaflet.
•
Optimum mowing performance requires a fully charged battery. To maintain
the batteries in a healthy state the battery charger supplied can be safely left
connected to the battery pack.
