Designated use

The XL5000 printer operates with a thermal transfer printing method.

▪

The printing system can transfer, save and process alpha-numeric and graphical information and apply it to materi-
als suitable for this printing method.

▪

The XL5000 printer can be operated in intermittent mode. After modification, the printer can also be operated in
continuous mode.

▪

The printer is intended for commercial or industrial use.

▪

The printer may not be used outdoors or in a non-explosion-safe environment (Ex-area).

▪

Only auxiliary materials, operating materials (ribbon) and process materials (labels, foils, packing materials) suita-
ble for this printer and printing methods may be used.

▪

The Printer must be permanently installed into a frame designed for this purpose (machine frame/machinery
holder).

▪

No modifications to the printer are allowed.

▪

Operation and set-up of the printer may only be performed by trained personnel authorized by the operator.

▪

Working on the printer (installation, maintenance, cleaning) may only be performed by fully qualified and trained
technical personnel.
