Installing the thermal printhead

Step 1: Making note of the resistance value

Make note of the resistance value of the thermal printhead before installing it. The specification is provided on the
white stocker on the thermal printhead.

Step 2: Installing thermal printhead

Fit the thermal printhead to the bracket and fasten it with the provided fastening screws.

Step 3: Connecting the cable

Connect the flat cable to the thermal printhead.

Step 4: Inserting the cassette

Set the cassette into the printer. Lock the cassette by turning the cassette latch clockwise.

Step 5: Establishing the power supply

Connect the printing system to the power supply and switch on the printing system at the power supply switch.

Step 6: Entering the resistance value

Enter the previously noted resistance value using the configuration software (e.g.

a:control

).

ATTENTION

Damage to the thermal printhead with an incorrect resistance value

The resistance value that is entered must match the value marked on the thermal printhead. An incor-
rect resistance value can damage or destroy the thermal printhead. Any liability and warranty for any
damages caused by entering an incorrect resistance value is excluded by the manufacturer.

printing system for the first time.
