Module Slot Positions
When installing an SFM in the chassis, consider the following:
•
Switch Fabric Modules may be installed in any slot position from 1 through 5 on the back of
OmniSwitch 8800s.
•
At least 4 modules in slots 1 through 4 must be installed for the switch to work.
•
CMMs or NI modules cannot be installed the rear chassis slots.
