Temperature control unit
The temperature control unit consists of the following controllers:
Eurotherm
The Eurotherm temperature controller is used to control the system from ambi-
ent temperature up to 1200 °C. It is located at the reactor cabinet. It measures
the temperature at the bottom of the susceptor using a thermocouple.

Mikron pyrometer
A Mikron pyrometer is used to measure the temperature on the top surface of
the susceptor (black body radiation). It is located inside the glove box. Using
a four channel pyrometer allows all three heater zones to be measured. The
zone power ratio may be adjusted to ensure a flat temperature profile across
the susceptor.
The black body radiation is measured through the pyrometer probes, mounted
on the showerhead.
There are five pyrometer probes on the showerhead to allow full access to all
heater zones.
