5. To get the first speech item in the call or to request the speech item in
general during the call, press and hold the
PTT
button.
Receiving an express call
When you receive an express call, the caller’s phone number or both name
and phone number are displayed in the PMR Status Bar. If the caller has
calling line identification restriction (CLIR) activated, the text
Unknown
is
shown instead. The call icon in the PMR Status Bar indicates whether you are
receiving
or transmitting
in the call.
If the PMR Status Bar is hidden when you receive an express call, it is
activated for the duration of the call. The minimized Android Status Bar is
used if you have hidden the PMR Status Bar.
When you press or release the
PTT
button, a notification tone is played to
indicate that transmitting is started or stopped. The transmitting stopped
notification tone is also played in the recipient’s device when the transmitting
party stops transmitting.
If you request the speech item while the other party is transmitting, you may
be placed in a queue, which is indicated by the queuing information tone. To
stay in the queue, continue pressing the
PTT
button. The transmitting started
notification tone indicates when you get the speech item.
If the decrypting of an encrypted express call failed, an error message is
displayed in the PMR Status Bar and an error tone is played. The call is ended
right away.
TETRA express calls vs. 3GPP calls
If you receive an express call during an ongoing 3GPP call, the call type is
changed into an alerting semi-duplex call. You can select whether or not to
answer the express call.
•
If you answer the express call, the 3GPP call is disconnected.
•
If you want to continue the 3GPP call instead, reject or ignore the alerting
express call.
