Activating Man down detection
If you find yourself in a dangerous or high-risk situation, activate Man down
detection quickly in the Quick Settings or the PMR settings in Android
settings.
1. Open the Quick Settings.
2. Tap the Man down shortcut icon.
This icon is displayed in the Android Status Bar while Man down detection
is active, and there is also a Man down notification in the Android
Notification Drawer indicating the
Man down detection state.
3. If you do not cancel the Man down alert before the inactivity timer expires,
an alert tone and vibration are used to inform you that Man down action
starts soon.
Note: If the Do not disturb mode is active or the Android volume
and vibration settings are switched off, the alert tone and vibration
are not played. However, also in these cases the heads-up dialog
informing that the
Man down action starts is displayed.
If needed, cancel the alert by tapping Cancel in the heads-up dialog Man
down action starts . The dialog indicates how much time you have left to
cancel the alert before the Man down action starts . You can stop the
alerting and close the Man down action starts dialog also by pressing any
physical button in the device; in this case, the pressing of the physical
button also activates the action related to the button.
If the screen is off or locked, the Man down alert activates the screen and
the Man down action dialog is shown on top of the display.
4. When Man down action is active, the Man down action dialog is displayed
in the device. You can stop the Man down alerting and close the dialog by
tapping
End in this view; otherwise the alerting continues periodically while
the Man down action is active. Alternatively, press any physical button to
stop the alerting and close the dialog. Note that pressing the physical
button also activates the action related to the button.
Note: The alerting overrides the Do not disturb mode and
Android volume settings if they are switched off.
