When transmission barring is active in the network mode (TMO), the device
cannot send the necessary information about changes in talk groups to the
network. Therefore, you cannot change the selected group. If you make any
other changes that affect talk groups, such as change the scanning state of a
group, you will not be able to receive further communication from the affected
groups. After transmission barring has been deactivated, the device can
attempt to negotiate the changes with the network.
Note:
If you start to make an emergency call to an emergency
number programmed into your device while transmission barring is
activated, Dabat automatically deactivates transmission barring and
attempts to make the call. Consider exiting the area where you
wanted the transmission to be barred.
Transmission barring should be active before you enter the area where you
want the transmission to be barred. When you activate transmission barring, it
is indicated with the Airplane mode
icon in the Android Status Bar. The
TETRA signal indicator
and TETRA out of service indicator
icon in
the Android Status Bar indicate whether there is a connection to the TETRA
network.
TETRA fallback mode
If the system-wide services are temporarily not supported in the TETRA base
station to which Tactilon Dabat is registered, the device goes into the fallback
mode. During the fallback mode some services may be unavailable.
The starting of the fallback mode is indicated by a tone. The color of the
Android Status Bar changes to purple and the Fallback mode
icon is
displayed as long as the device is in the fallback mode. The Fallback mode is
also indicated in the Android Notification Drawer.
