Preparing to Run a Fiber Autotest 76

Fiber Calibration

Before you begin testing, it is necessary to calibrate the WireScope and
DualRemote pair that you will use. Remote calibration is a process that allows
the WireScope to obtain the reference level for measurement. In particular, you
must insert the required Fiber SmartProbes.

Before running any fiber optic tests, Fiber SmartProbes need to be calibrated. To
calibrate, select

Calibration

from the Fiber Main Menu. This brings up the

Fiber Calibration screen with two options, Single Ended and Double Ended.

These options are explained in the following two sections.
